My New Christian-Horror Novel, The Night Cometh, Is LIve!

My first foray into Christian writing--not that I haven't made the hero have to accept the Lord to beat the monster before--is out for pre-order for Christmas. The Night Cometh, taken from the Bible verse, "...the night cometh, when no man can work," from John 9:4, is my first novel with no cussing, which I think makes it scarier. There's a movement to make horror P.G. anyway, so there you are. Not that I'm a stickler about that, but this is my The Green Mile.

Being a horror author, I was really able to make the plagues of the great tribulation gnarly, in a big way. The anti-hero is J.D. Howler, who's just turned thirty and is playing church, and, while he thinks he's going up in the rapture, he gets left behind. That makes him change his ways real fast. He befriends a few others that weren't living it, who survive--temporarily--in an underground shelter, but eventually have to go up into the nightmare to eat, and they go through the plagues, sometimes even though they're underground.

I worked hard on this sucker, editing it fifteen times. Some say writers can over-edit, but I've found typos on the eleventh edit before. This is actually a rough draft from 2007--when I was a newbie--so you can bet I had to give it major surgery, working my magic on it, to make it a worthy story. I have a pared-down, lean, mean, killing machine writing style lately, and this one's no different. I'm just psyched that I've finally written a book for my Lord Jesus Christ, because, although some may argue otherwise, I'm not satanic.

It's on Amazon, in eBook and paperback--the latter of which you can get NOW--so check it out:
